WORLD RECEIVER is the second chapter from my project The Starseed Journals. This experimental vocal-based album blends several influences, such as Gregorian chants, opera, Indian raga, Nordic music… But the most prominent inspiration comes from my Bulgarian roots. The power of Bulgarian polyphonic singing is undeniable (eg. The Mystery of Bulgarian Voices) and in this album I honour my heritage, incorporating it in my sound with a contemporary twist.
SJ:WR reflects my experience as an empath: sensing the subtle layers of existence and merging and channelling my own emotions with those of the collective. It explores what it means to absorb the energy and feelings of those around me as well as how it feels to tune into the eternal stream of consciousness, seeking the profound truths that shape our world and navigate our lives.
I perceive the human voice as a tool for connecting matter with aether. This album flows between genres, transcending borders and eras. It’s as timeless as the human urge to go beyond what the eyes can see and the hands can touch. And it simply celebrates the sacredness of existence.
